The beginning of the end of the beginning
Tonight was my last meeting with Kathryn, before I have my local review meeting. She seemed positive about how I'm getting on, and mentioned that she had positive comment about the sermon I did the other week. Looking back, I'm a whole lot happier at this end of the enquiry process than when I started.

Why am I reminded of a conversation in a Pratchett book which Fran often quotes. It goes something like:
ReplyDelete[pre-dawn, prior to battle...soldiers waiting]
1st soldier: 'It's the waiting that's the worst'
2nd soldier: 'No, really, it's the dying - waiting's fine - I'll take waiting thanks.'
This not to be taken that you're off to die in battle, of course.
